Nokia Launches 1st ever fully interactive DOOH campaign on iCabTV in Singapore

In collaboration with UzoneMedia, Nokia has officially launched a new, fully interactive Digital Out Of Home (DOOH) campaign across all 1000 Taxis with iCabTV screens in Singapore. This campaign was the first of its kind because it is the first time ever that a fully interactive campaign is running on a DOOH platform in Singapore.

Traditionally, OOH media usually consists of static billboards and large format posters on the side of buildings, buses, taxis, and MRT stations. Until recently there has been a number of digital signage platforms operating in various office buildings, malls, and different outdoor venues to serve digital video ads in front of the average consumers. Unfortunately these platforms does not overcome some of the biggest issues of OOH advertising, which are measurement and accountability -- how does one measure if a person is actually watching a billboard or a digital screen? how does one ensure that an ad is being seen and absorbed by the viewer?

One of the answers is interactivity, as a person sees an ad and begin to interact with it, his mind is constantly working and processing the information on the screen thus creating a long lasting impression that every brand in the world would like to achieve in all of the advertising campaign they run. However, interactivity has always been limited to Online platforms and the downside of that is that there are so many other competing interactive ads surrounding the viewer.

iCabTV is the ONLY DOOH platform that successfully integrated the most effective Interactivity aspect of Online platform in Singapore. The following are a brief summary of the Nokia Interactive Campaign:
- Campaign Objective:
1) Build Awareness of the new Nokia E72 Launch
2) Educate consumers on new Nokia Messaging features and drive sign ups
- Campaign execution:
1) 30 sec TVC across all zones and timebelts on iCabTV
2) followed by a 45 sec interactive flash that prompts the viewer to touch the screen to discover new Nokia Messaging features.

Win a pair of tickets to My Sister's Keeper on iCabTV!

About the Film

Young Anna Fitzgerald has coped all her life with her older sister's rare cancer, and has served as a donor for her for as long as she can remember. She has missed many opportunities in order to be there for her sister, but has never resented it. When she finds out that the entire reason she was conceived was to keep her sister alive, however, the way she looks at the world is changed forever. She goes to court in the hopes of freeing herself once and for all and earning the chance to live her own life.

From the Director of "The Notebook" and based on the bestselling book from Jodi Picoult,"My Sister's Keeper", this reveals surprising truths that challenge one's perceptions of family love and loyalty and give new meaning to the definition of healing.

This excruciatingly sad but heartwarming movie is definitely worth watching! Get ready for the tissues though. A must see for all!

iCabTV becomes the Principle Partner for Singapore NDP09

iCabTV wishes Singapore a Happy 44th Birthday!!!!!! As a Singapore local Media Owner, we at iCabTV believes it is our social responsibility to show love and support for our beloved country. Thus we made special efforts to become the principle partner for Singapore National Day Parade 2009.

National Day is not just about the Parade. It is an occasion for Singaporeans to reflect upon the journey we have taken – our nationhood and collective aspirations. Our Pledge encapsulates these ideas.

As children, we recited our pledge in school assemblies, as do the children today. The wisdom captured in Our Pledge has a timeless quality that has stood the test of time as Singapore transformed over the years.

On this year's National Day, we want Singaporeans to reacquaint themselves with Our Pledge. In line with that, the NDP 09 theme, show and celebration activities are all anchored on the pledge.

PLEDGE MOMENT @ 8:22 PM

At 8:22 pm on National Day, Singaporeans are invited to Come Together for the Pledge Moment. You can choose to shout out the Pledge as you take it, hand on chest, or you can take the pledge silently while reflecting on the deep meaning behind it. We invite all Singaporeans to take 30 seconds of their time on 8:22 pm to recite Our Pledge together.

Win tickets from iCabTV to see the Tony Award Winner - The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee Musical Comedy!

In the 2005 Tony Award Winning Broadway Musical Comedy, THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE centres around a fictional spelling competition in Putnam County, New York. Six young people in the throes of puberty face off in the battle of their lives. They compete against each other as well as members of the audience. The competition is overseen by three grownups, barely managed to escape childhood themselves: a nostalgic former spelling bee winner, a mildly insane Vice Principal and The Official Comfort Counsellor completing his community service to the state of New York. Together with the six adolescents, they learn that winning isn’t everything and that losing doesn’t necessarily make you a loser. A quirky yet charming cast of outsiders for whom SPELLING BEE is the one place where they can stand out and fit in at the same time.

SPELLING BEE has a Tony Award winning book by Rachel Sheinkin and Music and Lyrics by Tony Award winner William Finn.

UzoneMedia's CEO Jim Chuang on BroadcastAsia 2009

The New Media World and Web 2.0 have experienced phenomenal growth in the past few years. The robust development was made possible by technological evolution and generous financing, which made the New Media World attractive to venture capitalists and start-ups. But it is not immune to the impact of the current economic crisis, which has reduced the financial resources for this industry.

How can the New Media industry adapt to the ever-changing technological development? Can it weather the economic crisis? Are the existing business models still feasible? These are some of the issues that experts at the “New Media World & Web 2.0” conference session will address.

UzoneMedia's CEO Jim Chuang was invited to address the above issues in a seminar held by BroadcastAsia 2009 in Singapore, the topic was "Advantage of Digital Media Network Incorporating Interactive Location-Based Services". Touching on the future and his vision of iCabTV, his speech drew a lot of interests from the attendees. A copy of his presentation can be downloaded here: http://imcms2.mediacorp.sg/CMSFileserver/Documents/008/pdf/BCA-Jun09-Session3.pdf
